Google "Frank and Bess Smithe Grove" and pull off on the West side of 101 (in the parking lot). Walk down to the river bend and jump on in!

Wild little tourist trap but fun for a gander!

Highly recommend staying here or at least stopping by for a meal or a refreshment :)

2. (Big Trees) Avenue of the Giants

MUST DO! An easy detour along the highway. A two lane road through an old-growth redwood grove. Do as much or as little of the road as you like.

3. (Beer) Lost Coast Brewery in Eureka

Pretty good well known local brewery.

4. (Beer) Redwood Curtain

Less known but much better local beer! Get the Sticky Fingers, Neal's fave!
